February 27th/28th- The Disc Golf Guys got to hit the road this weekend and play in 2 different states for road trip #1 of the 2021 season!
This year we hope to take as many trips as possible and play as many new courses as well, so it was awesome for us to kick things off in 2 states that neither of us had played in before, Ohio and West Virginia.

Brandon got things started by playing a solo round at Burr Oak State Park in Glouster, Ohio while Broden was doing some public land scouting for another hobby.
He was able to finish 2 full, 18 hole rounds despite fighting some wet, muddy, and even snowy conditions at the hilly state park.

Sunday, we pointed our vehicle back East and after some brief discussion, decided to check out one of the disc golf courses at Grand Vue Park in Moundsville, West Virginia despite the heavy rain in the forecast.
There are actually 3 different courses located within the park:
A Black Course which is long and meant for more experienced players, and the one we played
A White Course which is meant for all players, but primarily recreational/intermediate level players, and
A Yellow Course, which is extremely short and meant for beginners.
Despite the rain, the Black Course was a ton of fun and it felt good to stretch the arms and legs after a 2 hour drive!
The tee boxes were in great shape, due in part to a mix of artificial grass, concrete, and asphalt/stone. So the rain did not affect our play all that much and by the end of the round was completely non-existent.
We would definitely not hesitate to play this course again as well as check out the White Course on the opposite side of the park.
