Westside Discs Warship

In this review, we're going to be taking a look at one of my personal favorite glidey discs in my bag, the

This disc has a knack to just go.

Just when you think it's going to tail off and lay down, it glides a little bit further.

My personal preference is the VIP plastic and weighing in at 178 grams.

This disc was recommended to me by another player in the league I used to be a part of and after three throws, I knew it was going to be a staple in my game.

The feel of the plate and rim remind me of a Discraft Buzzz.

It has just a slight dome and a fairly shallow depth to it. Thrown flat or just barely on an anhyzer will get this disc moving down field for significant distance while maintaining mid-range control.

This disc does want to hold any line that I put it on, but my favorite is that ever-so-slight anhyzer release so that you end up getting a small S-flight with not much fade at the end.

Down hill shots can go for big distance with little power.

The disc shape is flat enough to work well for forehand approach shots, however, it is not my own preference.

Before giving my final thoughts on this disc,

Let's check the full specs!

Wrap-Up

Mids have been a fast changing disc in my bag over the past couple years, but the Warship has maintained it's place since it came into my possession.

I tend to reach for my Truth when I'm wanting a more understable approach or for forehand approaches on long anhyzer forehand flick lines, but the Warship always comes out when I'm wanting longer backhand distance down tight tunnel shots and especially down hill.

Because it flies and glides further, the Warship takes the throne over my Truth every time for distance.

With the speed of 6, I can really put some power into tee-offs while having the disc on a slight hyzer release. This allows the disc to flip up to flat and then do it's thing: GLIDE!!!

If you get a chance to pick one up, do it as I can't recommend the Warship enough!
